The pandemic caused an increased interest in dietary supplements as a protective means against the disease. The sales of dietary supplements increased by 60% between 2019 and 2020 during the early stages of the pandemic. Consumers take supplements for their physical and mental well-being buying supplements marketed for increased health immunity during Covid-19.
